In our third instalment of the series we go back thirty-three years to the 1972/73 Season.  There was lot's of interesting stuff going on back then so we've split this into three parts.
 

In the second of our series we go back to the final few weeks of the 1971/72 season as the campaign draws towards its conclusion.  Local team Oceans X1 reach the final of the first ever Lancashire Sunday Trophy.  Next week we concentrate on 1972/73 (Part 1) as young Alan Cocker (Current Poulton manager) scores for Preesall Colts and the new changing block at Moor Park gets vandalised for the very first time.
