Division 2 outfit Rossall Tavern FC are looking for a few extra players for the new season.  They already have a good bunch of lads but need a little more to compete in a tough Division.  If interested, call Lee as.  His contact number is  07968 096366.  The team train at Bispham College on Tuesday evenings and their home pitch is Broadwaters up at Fleetwood.

The first day of the new Sunday football season and with the wind and rain it was more like mid March than early August.  No way was the new camera going out in the open in those conditions so it was the shelter of the two covered stands at Blackpool Wren Rovers and Squires Gate.  Here's a small selection of pitcures from the two matches that were taking place.

The new Sunday Football season got underway along the Fylde Coast this morning.  Courtesy of the BFSFA committee, here are all of the the provisional results from today's opening programme of league action. The fixtures for next week including Wednesday and Sunday are now on-line. If in doubt please contact Dennis Peters on 391055. The tables, fixtures and results have now been updated.

Fleetwood lads Slater (Pictured), J Beavers, Wilson and Gregory will be pedalling 65 miles across the Fylde in aid of Fleetwood Gym Football Club (All age Groups) as well as Help for Heroes. Read more for details as to how you can donate and if you see them out and about be sure to hurl some motivating abuse at them.  Away at Quilligans FC the following morning - another cruel twist of the BFSFA fixtures computer.

The old Fyldesport camera finally gave up towards the end of last season with the winter weather finally taking its toll (they're just not built for the Edge In February).  The replacement arrived during the week.  The Sunday before the start of the new football season and it was time to put it to the the test.  There's been some good cricket at South Shore CC over the summer and it continued this afternoon with the Sunday 1st XI at home to Kirkham & Wesham CC.  Both sides were struggling down at the wrong end of the table.

Courtesy of the BFSFA committee here are all of the forthcoming fixtures.

Further preparation for the new season has resulted in a ruthless cull of all of the outdated club websites accessible via the left hand menu.  Only websites that reflect the names of teams in the BFSFA and that have been updated in the last four weeks remain.  All seven of them.  If you have a well managed club website that's up to date then let me have the link at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I'll add it.  Alternatively, you may have opted for dumbed down 'Facebook Group' (With a website your audience is the world).  Whatever, let me have the Facebook Group link and I'll add it.  If you have both, then it's one or the other.

Courtesy of the BFSFA committee here is the new Divisional structure for the 2011/12 season. Not long now until the big kick off.  The sister site has already been brought up to date (Accessible via the link on the left hand side).  The fixtures for the opening week of the season have also been published on the sister site and we'll link them into Fyldesport next week.

Two weeks on Sunday it's the 7th August, the first day of the new Sunday Football season.  Thirty-two of the sixty-six teams have still not apparently registered with the LFA.  No number, no play, three points deducted and a fine.  Is this you?  Check now with Dennis Peters on 391055 in order to avoid disappointment.
