Out early this morning at Commonedge Road, Blackpool for the beginning of a very long day as a number of games were kicking off early in anticipation of the Arsenal FC match.  Once again, the Edge was the venue for the Divisional Cup semi finals, this time for Divisions 2 & 3 in a rather truncated 'Sportspy Reports'.

It was as long ago as the 1993/94 season when a BFSFA side last won the Lancashire Sunday Trophy when Mammas FC brought it home.  In recent season's we've gone close to repeating the feat but no cigar.  On Thursday night (April 14th), eight months and 158 teams later, Poulton SFC will  attempt to bring back the famous trophy to the Fylde Coast as they face Preston side Greenlands FC at the County Ground, Leyland in the final (7pm kick off). The BFSFA honours list for the 2010/11 Season

Courtesy of the committee, here are the provisional results from tonight's programme of midweek matches.  The fixtures for Sunday are online.  Tables, fixtures and results now updated via the links to the left of the homepage.

Last Saturday afternoon at the ground of Wyre Villa FC, local side Norcross & Warbreck FC took on Barrow side Crooklands Casuals FC in the semi final of the West Lancs President's Cup.  Our North Shore correspondent John McNicholas kindly sent us in a few pictures of the game along with a brief match summary.

Into April and the Sunday football season enters its final stages.  Across at Commonedge Road, Blackpool this morning calling in on many of the matches being played at the world famous venue including both of the Premier & Division 1 Cup semi-finals.

At the Pavilions Ground, Runcorn, Vodkat First Division leaders AFC Blackpool were away at second placed Runcorn Town FC.  Each had nine games to play but this morning's league table showed AFC Blackpool with a healthy five point lead.  A win today would have been a massive step towards the league title and promotion.
