On a lovely spring morning such as this you might expect the lady pictured to be playing bowls or on the park with the grandchildren.  However, Labour Councillor Kath Rowson has asked to see the delights of the hidden horrors of the Moor Park changing rooms (including the toilets!).  She'll be escorted by local luminary, referee and bon viveur John McNicholas who will be putting our points across politely but firmly.  Simple really, pitch fees from the Fylde Coasts adult and junior footballers should ALL be ploughed back into maintaining the pitches and facilities.  Not much to ask.  Kath's efforts have already paid off as the Moor Park changing facilities have been cleaned and tidied.  Thanks Kath.  Now we're exploring grants thanks to her advice.

Courtesy of the BFSFA committee, here are all of the provisional results from today's programme of Sunday Football league action. The tables, fixtures and results have now been updated. If in doubt, please call Dennis on 391055.  No pictures today due to Junior Football Tournament - Don't forget that we have midweek fixtures on Wednesday evening.

The dramatic rise of Fleetwood Town FC continues and their great run of form either side of Christmas has put them on the brink of promotion into the football league.  Only rivals Wrexham FC stand in the way and the two clubs meet next Tuesday (10th)  evening at Highbury (7:30pm KO) where a Fleetwood victory would be a major step in realising that goal of promotion.  Will you be there to see this dramatic Fylde Coast footballing event?  If so, now is the last chance to buy tickets that are now on general sale to anyone on the Fylde. Only a few hundred are left, mainly in the new stand.  Phone or visit the ticket office. Open 09.00

Just the usual six monthly reminder that British Summertime begins in the early hours of next Sunday (March 25th). It's the nasty one where the clocks go forward an hour and you get even less time in bed. Arriving at 10:47 for the game is bad enough but 11:47 would really irritate your manager so think on.
